CAMS on Campus is a student-run organization that serves as a liaison between the students and the professors of the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Studies program at NYU. We plan a variety of events every semester, including movie screenings, volunteer opportunities within the community, career panels and host an annual pre-registration party. Our goal is to spread awareness of child & adolescent mental health and public health issues.
Spearheaded by members of CAMS on Campus, Project InterACT is an initiative aimed at broadening the conversation about mental health by promoting acceptance, connection, and transformation of existing stigma.
Project InterACT is a photo campaign and initiative led by NYU students Sophia Wu, Franny Cacciola, Anya Urcuyo and Nikki Guillery that aims to broaden the conversation about mental health and illness across campus. Our hope is that by having and sharing discussions with students about mental wellbeing, we will be able to promote acceptance of others and ourselves, connections across our school's community and ultimately transform stigmatized ideas of mental illness.
